Embracing Women, our strength and power. Recognising us as equal. Equality.

What does breaking the bias mean to you?
Creating equality in all aspects of life. Particularly in sport.

What's one inspiring quote that has stuck with you that you want to share with other women?

What makes you feel powerful?
I have been raised to believe that I am capable of achieving anything that I set my mind to, whether that is studying a double degree, completely changing careers, becoming a DJ touring around Australia, learning how to produce music, hitting savings goals, travelling, and now supporting the Partnerships team at LSKD.

Being able to motivate and support our team to grow and take risks has made me feel powerful. Powerful to inspire and grow to be the best versions of ourselves. Constantly learning and evolving and having the courage to do so whilst making it fun.

What does IWD mean to you?
IWD is one day a year where women are at the forefront of the conversation. It's an opportunity for us to connect and share experiences and highlight these for positive change. It's so important.

What does breaking the bias mean to you?
Breaking the bias is an opportunity to highlight the issues that women face in the workplace and community. It allows for barriers that don't always affect men being acknowledged and this creates a common understanding.

We are in 2022 and the gender pay gap still exists, typical gender roles and superannuation due to family care requirements are all issues that need to be addressed together. It's a commitment from everyone to really make a change and support women to be better.

What's one inspiring quote that has stuck with you that you want to share with other women?
One quote that has always stuck with me in a more general sense is "If you don't like it, then change it". Specifically to women- if we feel empowered to speak up then it is more likely there will be positive change. We are powerful on our own, but unstoppable as a whole.

What makes you feel powerful?
Being a mother to my 3 boys. Teaching them life skills & knowing I have a positive influence in shaping them to grow into respectful, honest, hard-working men.

What does IWD mean to you?
IWD is a day to celebrate the achievements & growth of the women around me.

What does breaking the bias mean to you?
Supporting all voices & continually facilitating those open discussions to ensure all voices are heard and understood.

What makes you feel powerful?
I've been extremely privileged to have been surrounded by powerful women throughout my life. This makes me feel powerful. Every day within my friends and immediate circle to my work-life I'm surrounded by women who build each other up and help you recognise your potential, echo your strengths and support you. This makes me feel powerful.

What does breaking the bias mean to you?
We as a society have a long way to go. Those who have paved the way thus far, I thank you. It's now up to us to push forward. In 2022 it is mind-blowing that things like the gender pay gap still exist. It means that as a society we will get to a world that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive. We just have to keep the hustle alive.

What's one inspiring quote that has stuck with you that you want to share with other women?

What makes you feel powerful?
Prioritising my health with exercise, and challenging my mind with my career daily. Becoming the woman that I used to idolise everyday as a young teenager makes me feel powerful.

What does IWD mean to you?
It's taking the time to stop and celebrate the achievements of the women in my life, and my own achievements.

What does breaking the bias mean to you?
It is not putting myself in a box, that I can only achieve certain things as a woman. There is no limit to what I can achieve, and holding myself accountable to those goals is the biggest thing for me.

What's one inspiring quote that has stuck with you that you want to share with other women?

What makes you feel powerful?
Weight training makes me feel powerful, working on my body and mind, physically seeing hard work come to fruition. Breaking the norm of women weight training & feeling comfortable and proud in my on skin.

What does IWD mean to you?
Women supporting women: and looking at the incredible women through history who have given us the voice we are able to have today. Being able freely speak and to just be a human being.

What's one inspiring quote that has stuck with you that you want to share with other women?
'Here's to strong women, may we know them, may we be them, may we raise them'

What makes you feel powerful?
Working out, wearing a blazer!

What does IWD mean to you?
IWD to me means being proud to be a woman and taking the chance to feel grateful for the position that I'm in and how far we have come.

What's one inspiring quote that has stuck with you that you want to share with other women?

What makes you feel powerful?
Being the woman my daughter needs me to be, paving the way for her future and making sure she has the confidence and skills to be successful and happy in life whatever path she may choose. It's not how clever she is, but how clever she feels that makes me feel powerful. Also being surrounded by like minded strong women.

What does IWD mean to you?
Celebrating the achievements of the women around me while also recognising the women who have laid the foundations for us to continue to build. Giving voice to those who have and still are suffering, identifying key issues and working on strategies to fix them.

What does breaking the bias mean to you?
Supporting myself and others up to not tolerate or accept the limitations that have been placed on us as women. Ensuring I use my voice to speak up for others who may not have the confidence to do so themselves. Constantly pushing for change and improvement while correcting any misconceptions along the way.
