Breast Cancer Awareness Month is close to our hearts at LSKD, with this year’s collection including something we’ve never made before. Our first mastectomy sports bra was designed with women from our own community who have been through breast cancer surgery, alongside a limited-edition range of pink tees, leggings, shorts and more to raise funds and awareness.
A portion of proceeds from each sale in this collection will be donated directly to the Keep A Breast Foundation.
A Mastectomy Sports Bra Designed With Our Community
Getting back into training after breast cancer surgery can feel like starting over, and most activewear just isn’t made with that journey in mind. Our post-mastectomy sports bra is different. It came to life through conversations with women in our LSKD community who have been there, and their experience is what it’s built on to support others going through the same.
This is also a sports bra for breast prosthesis use. You can wear your prosthesis with the same confidence you bring to your workout, with a bra that’s comfy enough to pull on for strength training, a morning walk or even a slow day at home.
Pink Activewear to Raise Breast Cancer Awareness
Pink is the colour of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and this year, we’ve made it loud. Explore our Breast Cancer Awareness Collection of tees, leggings, shorts and accessories, giving you something cute to train in while raising awareness.
A portion of proceeds from every purchase go to the Keep A Breast Foundation, helping fund its work in breast cancer education and prevention. However, this range is only here for a limited time, so pick up your pieces while you can.
FAQ
What’s the difference between a mastectomy sports bra and a regular sports bra?
A mastectomy sports bra is designed with room for a breast prosthesis and the needs of women who have had breast surgery in mind. This is different to a regular sports bra that’s designed around natural breast tissue that usually has no way to hold a prosthesis in place.
Can you wear a breast prosthesis while working out?
Yes, many women wear a breast prosthesis during exercise. A sports bra for breast prosthesis wear helps keep it comfortable and in place as you move. Be sure to check with your surgeon or care team about when you’re ready to return to training after surgery.
What is the Keep a Breast Foundation?
The Keep A Breast Foundation is a nonprofit based in California that works to reduce breast cancer risk and its impact through art, education, prevention and action. A portion of proceeds from each sale from our LSKD Breast Cancer Awareness Collection, including our post-mastectomy sports bra, will be donated to the foundation.
